Dust Jackets
These are various book covers, designed so that a continuous image can be seen on the spines when the books are placed side by side on a shelf.
The covers always refer to the content of the books, though this is more obvious in some series than in others. The covers created for the Harry Potter series refer to the lightning-shaped scar on the protagonist’s forehead.
In the case of the covers for the ‘Percy Jackson and the Olympians’ series, the reference to the books is clearer. The spines depict the characters’ home base, namely Camp Half-Blood.
